Dr. S. Paul Sharma

Dr. S. Paul Sharma was more than a physician; he was a beacon of hope, a healer of bodies and souls, and a tireless advocate for his patients. His legacy is one of excellence, empathy, and an unyielding drive to make the world a healthier and happier place.

With a career that spanned decades, Dr. Sharma's impact reached far and wide. His contributions to the medical field, from his early days at M.D. Government Medical College in Amritsar, Punjab, India, to his groundbreaking work in Gastroenterology at Naval Regional Medical Center in San Diego, were nothing short of extraordinary.

As the founder of Citrus Valley Gastroenterology, he nurtured an environment of innovation and compassion, leaving an indelible mark on the institution and its patients. His legacy lives on through the countless lives he saved, the knowledge he shared, and the inspiration he provided to those fortunate enough to work with him.

His untimely passing on June 26, 2023, marks a profound loss to the medical world and all whose lives he touched. Dr. Sharma's dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the betterment of humanity through medicine will forever be remembered and cherished. We remember and celebrate his life by continuing his mission of healing, caring, and making the world a better place.

Osama A Sidhom, M.D.

Dr. Sidhom has been practicing medicine for over 30 years. He graduated as a doctor in medicine in 1984 from Alexandria University, Faculty of Medicine in Alexandra, Egypt. He then completed his internal medicine internship at Grant Hospital of Chicago and Residency in Internal Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Dr. Sidhom also completed a fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. He later completed his Gastroenterology and Therapeutic Biliary Endoscopy fellowships at University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. In his free time, Dr. Sidhom enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and keeping active. Dr Sidhom plays in a weekly tennis match with other local physicians, and is quite formidable.

Sartaj M Arora, M.D.

Dr. Arora has been practicing medicine for over 20 years. He graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), Los Angeles, California. In 1999, Dr. Arora graduated as a medical doctor from the University of California, San Diego in San Diego, CA. He then completed his Internal Medicine residency in 2002 at Los Angeles County-Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Torrance, CA. Dr. Arora completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Harbor location of the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine in 2005. Dr. Arora enjoys spending time with his family, and in his free time and enjoys hiking and running marathons.

Patrick Troung, M.D.

Dr. Truong has been practicing medicine for over 10 years. He graduated from the University of California, Irvine (UCI) with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science. In 2003, Dr. Truong also received his medical degree from UCI College of Medicine. Dr. Truong completed his surgical internship at the University of Bern, Switzerland. Dr. Truong completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA in 2006. Finally, he completed his Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of California, Irvine in 2009. Dr. Truong is very family centered and enjoys spending time with his three kids in his free time. He has hobbies such as cooking, driving, and trying out new hot spot restaurants.

George Ferenczi, M.D.

Dr Ferenczi has been practicing medicine for over 30 years. He graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana with his doctoral degree in medicine in 1972. He then completed his residency in internal medicine at LAC & USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA in 1975. In 1975, Dr. Ferenczi completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at LAC & USC Medical Center. In his spare time, Dr Ferenczi enjoys visiting his son and grandkids in France, and spending time with his close friends. One of Dr Ferenczi’s favorite foods is chocolate cake.

Adam J Snyder, M.D.

Dr. Snyder has been practicing medicine for over 10 years and is passionate in treating gastrointestinal diseases and giving patients the information needed to make well informed decisions on their health. Dr. Snyder has a keen interest in colon cancer prevention and believes in a careful and deliberate colonoscopy with the aim of finding and removing precancerous polyps at a high rate. In his many years in the field, Dr Snyder also has a passion for treating inflammatory bowel disease with the most up to date medicines and technology to achieve lasting remission. Dr. Snyder's belief in providing patients with the best possible treatments for complex disorders such as liver cirrhosis, acid reflux disease, and IBS go well beyond his patients at Citrus Valley Gastro. Over the years Dr Snyder has shown his compassion and outreach by traveling to places like Cambodia where he is taught and provided therapeutic biliary endoscopy to countries where people have little to no access to quality healthcare and physicians. In his personal time, Dr Snyder enjoys winter sports and will take any excuse to hit the slopes or snowboard. His other interests include college football and basketball as well as spending time with his wife and two children.

Ankush Sharma, M.D.

Dr. Sharma has been practicing medicine for over 10 years and has trained all over the country developing and perfecting his craft and love for Gastroenterology. His passion for personalized care and medical treatments for his patients is evident in his enthusiasm and knowledge of gastrointestinal conditions. Dr. Sharma has a keen interest in treating a variety of conditions from inflammatory bowel disease to gastrointestinal bleeding. His mission is to provide patients with the comfort and knowledge to allow them to make informed decisions and ease their fears on treatments for colon cancer and preventative measures patients can take to reduce the risk gastrointestinal diseases.

Meet Dr. Ankush Sharma, M.D.

Yi-Chia Wu M.D.

Dr. Yi-Chia Wu is a board-certified gastroenterologist, who completed her medical training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel (New York) and Saint Peter's University Hospital/Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (New Jersey). She treats all common gastrointestinal disorders from gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), inflammatory bowel disease, to liver diseases/cirrhosis and more. It is important to her that her patients are well-informed of their condition so they can truly understand the treatments they're on and the lifestyle changes that can benefit their symptoms. She is passionate about treating all aspects of GI, especially functional diseases, such as irritable bowel syndrome, and prioritizes the wellbeing of her patients in a caring manner. She understands a good bowel movement goes a long way!
